Issue 338
Dear Colleagues;
I hope you are well during these challenging times. We had to cancel our LA seminar due to travel restrictions, etc. As with much of the US, most businesses are closed on Maui though we are in the process of opening our office in Pukalani and will be seeing patients as long as is allowed.
I am going to refrain from giving my opinion on the virus and the politics and all else surrounding it. I can tell you that antimicrobial herb sales at Supreme Nutrition have been very brisk. They have had challenges keeping inventory but so far things have been going well. Houttynia, Woad, Camu, and Vital Guard seem to be the highest sellers due to their antiviral properties. Those have typically been the ones we recommend when people email or call though we all know that everyone is different and nothing totally can take the place of a physical exam. Even though many of us use applied kinesiology protocols to glean much information, most of us have enough clinical experience that we can make solid decisions based on phone interviews of patients, labs, etc. (see case history sent in by Martin Orimenko DC).
Lifework Potential has to close (at least temporarily) due to a misunderstanding by the government of what they actually sell. I have taught for years that you cannot make a definitive diagnosis based on an applied kinesiology or EAV type analysis using vials. We are actually, at least for the AK doc, recording variations in muscle inhibition and facilitation based on exposure to a vial of water with various energetic imprints on them. Many of us (including myself) feel that these methods bring much useful information that can give us invaluable clues on how to improve a patient’s health. We have clinically seen this again and again over decades of work/research (our 30 years of newsletters have 100s of case histories by myself and other docs). You cannot say something like “you have staph”, etc. based on a muscle test of a vial (hand mode, thought, etc). You could say “testing a vial with an energetic imprint of staph caused a temporary muscle inhibition when you were exposed to it”.
I feel my results would not be optimal without this info but some folks (doc and lay folks) have to realize they cannot be used for definitive diagnostics, but they can get clinical insight (in my opinion). Lifework does not know how long they will remain closed. If you have any questions you can contact them or call me as I try to keep abreast of the situation.
At this point we still are planning summer seminars in NYC and London (Noah only in London) as well as presenting at ICAK in Atlanta, the end of July. We are also continuing our one on one seminars on Maui though you should wait until the quarantine is done unless you want to spend 2 weeks here in self-imposed quarantine.
CASE HISTORY
1. Martin Orimenko DC (www.LiveWellHolisticHealth.com)- Telemedicine Case Study during the Quarantine). A new patient 24 year old female, called in complaining of the following conditions: digestive issues (including gas and bloating, constipation and slimy stools), fatigue, brqin fog, acne, anxiety, Raynaud’s and body aches. We placed her on an antifungal/dysbiosis diet (no refined sweetening including no juice and dried fruit), no dairy, no gluten, and no fermented items (many contain mycotoxins and other fungal derivatives or contain histamine producing strains of bacteria and have a high histamine counts). We also gave her 3 supplements to take: Golden thread supreme. Manjistha supreme and Ashwagandha supreme (Supreme Nutrition Products 1-800-922-1744). Eight days later we did a follow-up call. She reported to us that except for her acne, all of her symptoms were at least 80% better. We expect all her symptoms to leave within the next few weeks.
2. Email to Dr. Noah Lebowitz
Dr. Noah –
Per your request, I’m following up after 2 weeks of treatment. I am doing really well! I saw you on a Tuesday and implemented the dietary changes and supplements you prescribed that day. By Wednesday afternoon I no longer had any nausea and it has not returned to date. I’ve managed to avoid everything except caffeine. Unfortunately avoiding caffeine was causing migraines. But I’m down to about 1/4 cup of green tea a day. Still trying to wean myself completely.
You had asked when you took my history if I was bloated. I had responded that I wasn’t but I’m going to have to change that answer. Apparently, I’ve been bloated my whole life. By 10 days into your program I noticed that my little pot belly, that I’ve had my whole life no matter how much I’ve exercised or how well I’ve eaten, was gone! My stomach is absolutely flat! Who knew!
And the best part is that the extreme fatigue that I’ve been feeling for the last 2 years has started to lift! I no longer come home from work and collapse in a heap on the couch, too tired to socialize or participate in hobbies or chores. I thought that maybe this was what it was like to get older and that this was just the way it was going to be. But it’s not! I’m getting my life back! This is huge! I can’t thank you enough for starting me on this journey to feeling like myself again. I’m beyond grateful!
I hope you had a nice holiday and that the preparations for your move are going smoothly.
Thank you!
We pray that everyone gets through these challenging times safely and that we can all be a light to others. If Noah or I can be of any help, let us know. We may do a webinar or 2 in the coming weeks so keep your eye on your email as we will announce time and date.
MATERIALS AVAILABLE FROM DR. MICHAEL LEBOWITZ
1.Vimeo: Treating the Complex Patient 2019: This seminar, approximately 4 hours long will teach the physician a simple to apply, effective protocol to treat patients with chronic fatigue, allergies, chemical sensitivities, intestinal dysbiosis, (fungal, bacterial, parasitic, spirochete, and viral infections), food sensitivities, food toxin intolerance, hypercoagulation problems, toxic metal issues, endocrine dysfunction, nutritional imbalances, chronic pain and subluxations, fibromyalgia, etc. The seminar is suited for both the novice and the advanced practitioners in our work and is much updated from our last one. A complete set of notes accompanies class. https://michaellebowitzdc.com/html/seminar.html
2. Personal Seminars with Dr. Lebowitz: Dr. Lebowitz teaches seminars to one or two doctors at a time at his office on Maui and also in Honolulu. This is probably the best way to learn our protocols with a personalized, hands on experience. Cost is $400 per physician and the class runs 9AM-4PM. For more info or to schedule call us at 970-623-9565. Noah Lebowitz DC is also available to teach the class (and sometimes you get us both).
3. Test Kits for Dr. Lebowitz protocol – Call Cynthia at AK Test Kits 970 201-7406 or see our website http://www.michaellebowitzdc.com for more details. These kits will greatly simplify and speed up your testing making you more efficient and accurate in patient assessment. These are “diagnostic kits”. Supplement kits are ordered directly from Supreme Nutrition 1-800-922-1744. In our protocol we typically use the protocol kit, biofilm kit and food kit A. Other kits as needed.
4. Body Restoration An Owners Manual – An updated and expanded version of my first book Body Mechanics published almost 30 years ago. Part 1 has a chapter on each organ/gland. Each chapter teaches basic anatomy and physiology, causes and symptoms of dysfunction, as well as simple treatments your patient can do at home to complement your treatment. Part 2 explains the role of dysbiosis, food intolerances, toxic metals, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances in health. The book is a great review for the doctor, but better yet it is a great tool to recommend to your patient. It will give them a better understanding of how their body works and the causes of health and disease, as well as the rationale of why you treat the way you do. It is very pro chiropractic. It is available for $1.99 on kindle at https://www.amazon.com/Body-Restoration-Owners-Manual-ebook/dp/B0050653C4/
5. Body Restoration Cookbook – This companion volume to the above book was written by Cynthia Lebowitz and is now available free online (donations accepted). A wonderful tool for your patients as it contains almost 100 recipes- most without gluten, dairy, nightshades, etc. Body Restoration Cookbook
6. God’s Preventative Medicine- It explains how the Levitical Priests dealt with fungal dysbiosis both preventatively and treatment wise as well as the reasons behind some of the other health laws of the Torah. It is a short easy to understand book and fascinating for the student of health and the Bible God’s Preventative Medicine
